What’s in the Medway Test
The test covers English, Maths and Reasoning (verbal and non-verbal). The council publishes the current format and familiarisation information each year, so check its website for the latest details.
Medway vs Kent
The Kent Test and the Medway Test are separate. If you are applying to grammar schools in both areas, your child may need to register for and sit both tests.
Don’t forget the second form. Registering for the test does not apply for a school place. You must also name the grammar schools on your home council’s secondary school application (the Common Application Form) by its deadline, usually 31 October of Year 6. Offers are made on National Offer Day, 1 March.
